Square Enix builds Lalafell statue in their office to honor Rich Campbell
FFXIV developers Square Enix have built a stature to honor their new favorite streamer
If you're an MMORPG lover and have been sucked dry of all your cash by Blizzard over the past 10 years, then you've most likely seen big streamers take a look into the world of FFXIV. The most notable streamer making waves in the FFXIV community of course is Asmongold, however, there is another streamer who has built a somewhat... cult-like community.
That streamer is Rich Campbell. His community... Lalafells.
Rich has single-handedly increased the number of Lalafell characters in FFXIV by 45% over the past 2 weeks.
For many years Lalafells have been hated in the FFXIV for being annoying and toxic. This was a negative stereotype in the community that Square Enix has attempted to change many times but could never hit the mark. However, for Rich Campbell, it took a matter of minutes. Once Gremlo made their on-stream appearance, Lalafells were loved by the entire FF14 fanbase.
Square Enix was so appreciative of Rich's actions that they built him a statue to be displayed in their Seattle office.
